The 2024 dates are March 8-16.
The 2024 program fee is $3250. The program fee includes:
•All ground transportation, including airport pickup (you arrange your own flight)
•Five class meetings with Alden and/or Tim
•A one-on-one conference with your instructor
•All activities (access to national parks, entrance fees, lectures, museum and site visits) in Havana and Playa Larga
•Lectures on Cuban history, the Revolution, and the arts in Cuba by Tim Weed, Alden Jones, and visiting Havana-based writers/lecturers
•All accommodations in centrally-located casas particulares*
•Daily breakfast
•Four group lunches and four group dinners in Havana’s paladars and in local restaurants in Playa Larga
•A farewell dinner at one of Havana’s most exclusive paladars
Once a participant is accepted, we will require a $800 non-refundable deposit to secure your spot. All deposits are due upon acceptance. The balance is due on January 15, 2024.
*The program cost is based on double occupancy. If you would like to request a private room, you may do so, but due to limited room availability in Old Havana we cannot guarantee private rooms. There is a $450 single supplemental fee for a private room; if no private rooms are available we will refund the supplement. Please be sure to request a private room in writing (not just send the additional fee).
Cuba Writers Program 
Would you consider a poet who has published a book of prose nonfiction on creativity and creative blocks , a book of poems, and a few essays? No fiction (yet)?

Absolutely! Both workshops are mixed genre, fiction and nonfiction.
