The 2025 dates are March 7-15.
The 2025 program fee is $3450. The program fee includes:
•All ground transportation from the time you arrive in Havana, including airport pickup (you arrange your own flight to/from Havana)
•Five class meetings with Alden and/or Tim
•A one-on-one conference with your instructor to discuss up to 10 pages of material you bring with you
•All activities (access to national parks, entrance fees, lectures, museum and site visits) in Havana and Playa Larga
•Comprehensive lectures on Cuban history, the Revolution, and the arts in Cuba by Tim Weed, Alden Jones, and Havana-based arts experts
•All accommodations in centrally-located casas particulares*
•Daily breakfast
•Four group lunches and four group dinners in Havana’s paladars and in local restaurants in Playa Larga
•A farewell dinner at one of Havana’s most beloved paladars
Once a participant is accepted, we will require a $800 non-refundable deposit to secure your spot. All deposits are due upon acceptance. The balance is due on January 15, 2025.
*The program cost is based on double occupancy. If you would like to request a private room, you may do so, but due to limited room availability in central Havana we cannot guarantee that you will be housed with the rest of the group. We encourage double occupancy if you are flexible. There is a $450 single supplemental fee for a private room; if no private rooms are available we will refund the supplement. Please be sure to request a private room in writing (not just send the additional fee).
